Are you passionate about volleyball and eager to develop your coaching skills? Susquehanna University is looking for a motivated Volleyball Coach Intern to join our team. Your Role and Responsibilities:
Practice Development:
Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting organized practices.
Game Day Support:
Help with game day responsibilities, including scorekeeping and training.
Student-Athlete Mentorship:
Counsel student-athletes positively and serve as a daily positive role model.
Regulatory Compliance:
Adhere to all
NCAA
, conference, and University rules and regulations.
Community Engagement:
Develop positive rapport with athletics staff and the entire SU community.
Professional Representation:
Represent the University to various constituents in a professional manner.

Educational Background:
Minimum bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
Collegiate-level playing or coaching experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to teach and demonstrate volleyball skills and tactics, strong knowledge of the game rules, and clear communication with student-athletes.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and ability to drive university vehicles.
Preferred
CPR
,
AED
, and First Aid certification.
Compliance with Campus Security Authority (
CSA
) requirements for reporting Clery Act crimes.
Physical Requirements:
Energy and Mobility:
Must have the enthusiasm and mobility to actively coach volleyball.
Strength:
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
Communication:
Frequently convey detailed instructions and ideas accurately and quickly.
This position appointment is for
one year
