Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Head Women’s Volleyball Coach will serve as a member of the Department and be responsible for administering all aspects relating to a positive and beneficial intercollegiate athletics experience for student-athletes within the program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach at Fort Lewis College, an NCAA Division II institution in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, is responsible for leading all aspects of a competitive Volleyball program, including, but not limited to:

  • Recruit, develop, retain and graduate student-athletes
  • Oversight of roster management, scholarship allocation, and budgeting for the program
  • Organizing and conducting skill instruction, practice, scheduling of competition and training schedules
  • Effectively manage relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and the broader campus community
  • Strategize and supervise all aspects of recruitment and evaluation of prospective student-athletes
  • Provide appropriate leadership in practice and competitive environments
  • Participate in fundraising activities supporting the program
