This position is “assistant coach” to the head coach for the club ski program, assisting with all coaching and administrative duties. This is a part-time 9-month position with varied work hours.

All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the division are to be reported to the appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions are required to maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the Division).

• High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
• Prior Alpine Ski Racing experience required; USSA Ski racing background and experience, preferred.
• Collegiate ski racing experience and/or collegiate coaching experience, preferred.
• USSA Official’s License or willingness to complete coaches’ education requirements, preferred.
• Ability to pass driving test and exercise safe driving, including in winter conditions.
• Technical knowledge coaching ski racing.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prior experience setting ski race courses, preferred.
• Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
• The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background, Education & DMV check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
