Job Overview
The communications intern will assist in the media relations and promotion of Georgetown's 30 NCAA Division I men's and women's athletic programs. The assistant will serve as a primary sport contact, responsible for overseeing each assigned program's brand, which includes the coaching staff and student-athlete. In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to writing press releases, compiling statistics and records for assigned sports, gameday management, developing content for GUHoyas.com and social media channels, fulfilling all NCAA and conference requests by developing and maintaining relationships with external entities, aid in the design process of publications and handling media requests from University and national outlets. Outside of the primary sport responsibilities, the assistant will work with other sports including men's and women's basketball.

This is a necessary position since they will be performing functions that we would have a full time staff member so if we had enough full time people to cover all of these positions. Their work is imperative for us to function during the year.
This position has been designated as On-Campus. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Pay Range:
The projectedsalary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$19.20 - $28.70
Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
