The opportunity
Under the general guidance of the Campus Recreation Administrator, you will manage the daily administrative, operational, and programmatic support of SNHU’s Competitive Sport program (Intramurals, Extramurals, and Club Sports). You will implement several daily responsibilities designed to ensure operational performance and provide quality service to members of the SNHU community and associated competitive teams. Weekend and evening work is required and we are looking for a potential start date of January 2025.

Help establish procedures for facilities and programs, along with training and assessing staff on risk management skills and protocol.

COMPETETIVE SPORT (Intramurals & Club Sport)
Maintain comprehensive participation and program records for activity, semester and annual reporting.
Prepare, forecast, and monitor all annual income and expenses for all club sports and intramural sports cost centers, including payroll, maintenance, and equipment.
Plan and administer the fall, spring, and summer sport activities, including team leagues and tournaments and specialty events.
Help manage the Club Sports web page and social media accounts, keeping information up to date for all partners.
Coordinate assessment efforts, benchmarking with other club sport programs and evaluating our needs.
Coordinate the planning of the Club Sports Council
Help coordinate and secure travel arrangements and 3rd party lodging with hotels, vendors and become a liaison between Competitive Sports and SNHU services.
STAFF/LEADER SUPERVISION
Advise club sport student leaders navigating the operations of their respective club sports including budgeting and fundraising.
Establish and coordinate a comprehensive coach’s development program.
Ensure training and accountability for team captains, club officers and participants for improved program experience.
Lead staff meetings, coach training sessions, and other programmatic meetings.
REVENUE GENERATION
Plan and implement community-based leagues and tournaments with the goal of providing development opportunities to students and generating revenue
Help plan camps and instructional programs with a focus on team and individual sports
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
Participate in staff meetings, in-service education sessions, and other divisional or departmental meetings
Participate in other Division of Student Affairs programs, and committees
Collaborate with other university departments to support the university's academic mission
Help us operate the department by providing input and completing assigned projects, annual goals, and reports
Maintain NIRSA membership and support the Department with NIRSA programs
What we're looking for:
1+ years of experience working with athletic or recreation programs
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or experience in lieu of degree acceptable
CPR/PR, AED, and First Aid certification (willing to train/certify if needed)

Compensation
The hourly pay range for this position is $22.55 - $36.08. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $24.91 - $33.71.
