| Position Summary |
The Compliance Coordinator serves as a member of the compliance team that is committed to excellence and advancing the vision of the University of Georgia Athletic Association. This position works in conjunction with the compliance staff to implement NCAA, SEC and institution regulations.
This position is focused on furthering knowledge and skills in the field of athletic compliance. This position focuses on monitoring in areas specific to Bylaws 11-17. Additionally, this position is a member of the compliance monitoring team to ensure adherence to personnel, recruiting, extra benefit, and playing and practice season legislation. This position will act with integrity and discretion as they will be exposed to sensitive and confidential information. This position works in a fast-paced creative and collaborative team environment where change is embraced and innovation is encouraged.

This is an entry level, career-based internship, and is intended for the professional development of an applicant with 6 to 24 months of practical experience. Bachelor’s Degree; Juris Doctor or Master’s Degree is preferred. Experience in an Athletic compliance setting at an institutional, conference or national association level is desired.

Strong computer skills, strong analytical skills, well-developed written and oral communication skills, and the ability to balance multiple projects. Must have successful experience working in a collaborative and team-oriented environment and act with integrity and personal accountability.
