Manage assigned institutional compliance functions to ensure university compliance with a variety of state and federal regulations, grant requirements, ethics guidelines, etc.
We encourage applications from recent graduates with a postgraduate degree and/or applicants with general compliance experience or athletic compliance. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.
Typical Allocation of Duties

Conduct investigations, audits, and/or research to ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and/or accreditation-related guidelines.

Advocate for the achievement and documentation of institutional best practices in compliance-related subject matter areas.
Develop policies and procedures - 20%
Assist in the development of institutional policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Collaborate with others - 20%
Collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to help ensure institutional compliance.
Prepare reports - 20%
Prepare a variety of regular and special reports documenting university compliance.
Supervisor Expectations
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of related work experience.
Commensurate with experience.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. Position May Require Credit Check (if using P-Card, working with Cash, etc.).
Position Requires completion of VSU's Annual Compliance Training course (such as State Business Transactions, Drug Free Workplace, Anti-Harassment Policy, Introduction to Information Security, Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle Policy,USGEthics Policy, Conflict of Interest/ Outside Activities Policy, Leave Procedures for Faculty and Staff, Georgia Open Records Act, Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and Contracts 101. Supervisory positions require training inFMLAand Worker's Compensation.
