We invite you to become a member of our community as our head women's volleyball coach. This is a part time position reporting to the Assistant Director of Athletics for Student Success.
Is responsible for organizing, implementing, and directing all phases of the intercollegiate Women’s Volleyball team including:
-Provides individual and group training and instruction during all practice sessions.
-Recruits academically and athletically qualified prospective student-athletes to the university in compliance with established NCAA, MASCAC, and institutional policies to ensure the ongoing quality and success of the program.
-Accompanied teams to all home and away contests.
-Prepares reports and recommendations relative to the sport as requested.
-Assists with scheduling, budget preparation, program evaluations, and eligibility verification.
-Communicates regularly with the Athletic Trainers to determine the physical status and/or limitations of student-athletes.
Will support and encourage team participation within the structure of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council.
Will act as a responsible employee in accordance with the university's Title IX requirements.
Demonstrates sensitivity to and an understanding of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
Participates in recruitment and hiring of part-time assistant coach(es). Supervises assistant coaches and ensures all staff involved in the Volleyball program are aware of compliance rules and NCAA, conference, and Salem State guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
1.2 years of collegiate or comparable coaching
Bachelor's degree
Thorough knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations, particularly as they pertain to recruiting, financial aid and Admissions.
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and supervise the work required to manage a successful Volleyball program.
Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

Working Conditions:
This is an on-site, in person position with on-campus, in-person responsibilities which may require frequent work on evenings and weekends.
