Supports the accurate publicity and promotion of Nova Southeastern University’s 18 NCAA Intercollegiate athletic teams through the execution of assigned departmental responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:
Implements the athletic department’s comprehensive public relations and communications strategy.
Coordinates with the Game Operations Manager to determine staffing needs and assist with scheduling event operations personnel for athletic contests.
Assists in the development, maintenance, and ongoing updates of the Nova Southeastern University Athletics website using HTML and web content management systems.
Produces written and visual content for publication layout design and provides editorial support for all athletic department publications and promotional materials.
Assists in development of content for athletic media guides, including season previews, student‑athlete and coach biographies, records, statistics, and opponent information.
Writes and distributes daily press releases and contributes content for the athletics website and other departmental publications.
Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with internal and external media representatives, as well as athletic sport information staff from opposing institutions.
Serves as play‑by‑play announcer and/or color analyst for selected athletic events streamed via online video and audio platforms, as assigned.
Compiles and manages statistics for assigned sports using STATCREW and PRESTO statistical software and coordinates enhanced live statistical displays on the athletics website.
Maintains and updates historical records and data for coaches, teams, and student‑athletes in assigned sports.
Prepares and submits nominations for student‑athletes, coaches, and teams for weekly, preseason, postseason, athletic, and academic awards through the Sunshine State Conference and the NCAA.
Contributes engaging and timely content across current athletic department social media platforms.
Reports weekly scores and statistical information to the Sunshine State Conference, coaches’ associations, and the NCAA for assigned sports.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.

3. Digital Media - General knowledge of digital media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and persuade via digital, web, and social media.
4. Marketing - General knowledge of principles and methods for describing and promoting programs and services in order to achieve desired outcomes.
5. Customer and Personal Service - General knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of user satisfaction.
6. Advanced knowledge of standard Adobe Suite.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree
Major (if required:
Required Experience: Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of Athletic Sports Information related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of NCAA sports rules and regulations.
