The Coordinator of Athletics Facilities & Operations, under the direction of an Assistant Athletic Director or above, assists in the design, development and implementation of departmental processes and/or programs. Recommends policies and procedures to ensure effective coordination of departmental programs.
Essential Duties
The Coordinator of Athletics Facilities & Operations assists the Assistant AD and Deputy AD with administrative functions, including but not limited to scheduling management systems, budget management, staffing management, project management, contract management, work orders, and other responsibilities associated with day-to-day operations of the Athletics Facilities & Operations work unit. Budget management includes daily budget projections for internal operations and external events, as well as reconciliation of all events. Contract management will entail initiating workflows in the icontract portal, as well as ensuring insurance coverage for all outside events meets university requirements.

The Coordinator of Athletics Facilities & Operations assists in the management of all Athletic facilities and game management responsibilities. The responsibilities of the position include assisting with directing the operations, maintenance and utilization of all athletic controlled facilities. Specific facility oversight may be assigned to the position. Conduct regular walkthroughs of assigned facilities to ensure proper cleanliness and functionality of those facilities. Plan and conduct athletic facility management and athletic field maintenance in accordance with NCAA division I rules and standards. Coordinates with Coaches and Administration regarding Athletic facilities maintenance. Assists with overseeing the maintenance of equipment to minimize repair costs and insures the timely completion of tasks. Supervises and manages projects as assigned by the Assistant AD or Deputy AD.

The Coordinator of Athletics Facilities & Operations is responsible for managing all aspects of game operations for select sports. The position assists in securing the proper game day staffing; managing the game day staff; setting up for each game; breaking down following each game; and serving as the game manager. The position communicates regularly with other administrative units, both home and visiting coaches, the game officials, and coordinates any game day logistics. Coordinate event staffing support from internal and external entities (police, security, parking, etc.).

In conjunction with the University’s policy, this position may also require a credit check.The holder of this position is responsible for any NCAA and Atlantic Sun Conference bylaws and guidelines that a member of the UNF Athletic Compliance Department provides in addition to all UNF regulations. The individual must also assure that NCAA, Conference and UNF regulations are followed to the best of their knowledge and any violations thereof are reported to UNF Athletic Compliance.This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA). This position has been designated as a CSA because it involves significant responsibility for student and campus activities and/or responsibility for campus security. As such, any person in this position must report to the University Police Department a crime or an incident that might be a crime that he/she becomes aware of. This position has a reporting requirement because the University believes that responsibility for students, campus activities and/or campus security will make the holder of this position someone members of the University community will see as an authority figure and someone to whom they can seek help. A CSA is not expected to investigate or determine whether a criminal incident actually took place. A CSA’s responsibility is a duty to report. All positions designated as CSAs are required to complete an online or in-person training session. For more information concerning the training sessions or CSAs, please contact the University Police Department at (904) 620-2800 or the Office of the General Counsel at (904) 620-2828.The holder of this position is designated as a “Responsible Employee” pursuant to their role under Title IX. Therefore, the incumbent must promptly report allegations of sexual misconduct, sexual violence, and child sexual abuse by or against any student, employee, contractor, or visitor to the University’s Title IX Administrator or any divisional Title IX Coordinator.
