Kenyon College invites applications for the Coordinator for Creative Media and Engagement internship, funded by an NCAA Division III Ethnic Minorities and Women’s Grant. The Coordinator for Creative Media and Engagement will be responsible for collaboration and coordination of Athletics Department creative media with all varsity sports programs, as well as fitness and recreation efforts. The Coordinator will employ creative knowledge and skills to emphasize clear, engaging, persuasive and powerful storytelling and messaging across a variety of settings and platforms. Aditionally, the Coordinator will facilitate engagement with alumni, parents and friends through the Kenyon Athletics Network.
Reporting to the Director of Athletics Communication and mentored by the Director of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation, this individual will work to support the mission of the Athletics Department and the College through the platforms provided. Additionally, the Coordinator will provide external engagement with campus constituents, community members, parents and alumni through development of partnerships within Athletics, as well as on campus. Finally, this individual will be asked to support event and game operations through promotional opportunities that create increased awareness and attendance. Other duties may include departmental committee work, conference communication and professional development across other areas of the department and college.
The Coordinator’s primary duties will include creating content and overseeing the upkeep of the Athletics Department’s main social media platforms, as well as the operation of the Kenyon Sports Connection, an online endeavor encompassing multiple platforms, mainly through the use of video.

Apply NowIn addition to traditional office hours, the Coordinator will be expected to work sporadic evenings and weekends, as required, and will travel to cover Kenyon’s teams when necessary. Other duties may be added with the addition of new technologies and expectations within the field.
