Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time experience working in alumni relations, athletics, volunteer management or constituent relations/customer service, fundraising or a related field in business, higher education, and/or non-profit or health care system.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working directly with alumni, students, and faculty. Experience with event coordination. Proficiency using Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising, student record, or client/customer management software.
Brief Description of Duties
:
The Alumni Relations Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Lifelong and Athletics Engagement, will help strengthen relationships between alumni, the University, and the Stony Brook Alumni Association through programming and engagement. This role is responsible for providing project and program support, coordinating events, facilitating communications, and working with internal and external stakeholders to execute project plans that align with the strategic goals of the Alumni Relations and Athletics team. The role will also assist in developing and administering alumni engagement and volunteer programs, such as alumni boards and committees. This includes coordinating program logistics and supporting related activities, processes, and communications. Occasional on-site support, including some nights/weekends and travel, may be required.

The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Non-Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
