Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Recreational Education, Health, Sports Administration, Communication, Journalism or other related discipline. Required
Master's Degree in Sports Administration, Communication, Journalism or related discipline. Preferred
EXPERIENCE
1-3 years' experience in an NCAA athletic/recreational program with a background in sports information/journalism. Required
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Evidence of creativity and ingenuity in developing programs and solving problems. Required
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. Required

Strong writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills. Required

Responsibilities
Provide support to the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications as a source of information for selected intercollegiate programs including news, scores, statistics, and other information to media outlets and conference offices.
Assist in writing press releases, including post-game recaps, award announcements, season previews for pctwildcats.com.
Assist in maintaining in-game and season statistics.
Assist in compiling and submitting statistics and team results in accordance with guidelines set by NCAA, e conference, and affiliated organizations.
Assist in updating and maintaining athletics website and historical archives/record books.
Assist with management of department social media platforms and webcasting.
Assist with the creation of photo and video content for digital and social platforms.
Assist in the production of electronic/printed content to promote the departments athletics programs, student-athletes, home athletic events, fundraising efforts and community service initiatives.
Assist with the nomination process for weekly and yearly athletic and academic awards.
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Athletics Communications on all Athletics marketing & promotional initiatives in support of intercollegiate athletics.
Ensure safety and security at all events, communicating concerns to College Police and the Director of Athletics

Pay Transparency
Based on minimum education and experience qualifications the yearly salary range is $43,000 - $48,000.
