Job Description

The Coordinator of Mission Integration & Scholar-Athlete Formatio n is responsible for the strategic oversight, coordination, and execution of mission integration initiatives within Marauders Athletics. This position ensures that the University of Mary’s Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine identity—and the Greatness Through Virtue (GTV) strategic plan—are systematically embedded into athletics programming, staff development, and the scholar-athlete experience.
This role provides structured leadership for GTV implementation, including program oversight, curriculum coordination, staff onboarding, assessment of outcomes, and alignment with departmental strategic priorities. The role will collaborate closely with the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, senior staff, head coaches, and University Ministry to support coaches in integrating virtue-based leadership into program culture and daily operations.
Operational responsibilities include teaching designated formation courses, advising Marauders for Christ, coordinating mission-based programming and formation opportunities, maintaining a visible presence within Athletics, and serving as a resource for scholar-athlete mentorship and pastoral collaboration. The position also establishes measurable benchmarks to ensure mission integration remains intentional, accountable, and sustainable. This role ensures that scholar-athlete formation remains the primary focus in partnership with athletic success.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred: Master’s degree
knowledge and skills - Understanding of the “Greatness Through Virtue” core strategies and ability to facilitate scholar-athlete formation. - Experience in Catholic higher education, ministry, teaching, or formation work. - Working knowledge of NCAA rules, standards, practices, and procedures. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to collaborate across Athletics, Academic Affairs, and Campus Ministry. - Willingness to support and advance the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine mission of the University. - Ability to mentor and guide students in whole-person development. - Must possess a good driving record and pass a background check.
