Carnegie Mellon University’s department ofAthletics searching for a Coordinator of Recreation to join their team. This is an exciting opportunityfor someone whothrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You willcontributeto the department by providing support by supporting and assisting in the operation of the recreational programs and fitness facilities in the Cohon University Center, Tepper Fitness Center and the Highmark Center.
Core responsibilities include:
Maintaining the equipment inventory at the recreational facilities, reporting service calls, placing work orders, communicating facility issues with Facilities Management and Campus Services (FMCS) and the Director of Recreation
Student hiring processes using Handshake and Workday (WD) systems
Serving as the Student Transaction Initiator in WD to hire student positions for the various Athletic student worker roles such as event management, equipment manager, desk attendants, lifeguards, intramural officials, cleaners, and student fitness instructors
Supervise student desk attendants and weight room cleaners for all recreational facilities, and as such is responsible for training, scheduling, and reviewing and approving time in Workday.
Any additional operational support as may be needed

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
3-5 years of relevant work experience required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
