The Coordinator of Spirit Programs provides leadership for the University’s spirit programs by overseeing the daily operations, strategic development, and continued growth of assigned spirit teams. This position cultivates a positive student experience while promoting school spirit, supporting campus traditions, representing the university at campus, community, and competitive events, and advancing the visibility and reputation of Comet Spirit Programs.
Three to five years successful coaching experience, expertise in technical aspects of cheer or dance in respect to national rules and regulations, safety guidelines and maintain an AACCA Certification.
Bachelor’s degree
3-5 years cheer or dance program coordination
1-3 years collegiate/professional cheer or dance program coordination
Competition choreography
To the extent this position requires the holder to research, work on, or have access to critical infrastructure as defined in Section 117.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code, the ability to maintain the security or integrity of the critical infrastructure is a minimum qualification to be hired and to continue to be employed in the position.
Computer and office environment, occasionally standing/walking for events,
occasional lifting. Activities will include standing for long periods of time, occasional
outside activities, and exposure to loud music.
Remote Work Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
