Brief Description of Duties:
The Coordinator of Ticket Operations will help manage the overall ticket operations for the Department of Athletics. This position will aid in the execution of annual season ticket and group ticket plans in sports of football, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s lacrosse. This includes the coordination of all ticket allocations and distributions, reconciliation of all ticket accounts, athletic event ticket sales and operations including event staffing as it specifically relates to the ticketing operation.
Ticket Office
- Assist with the execution of department sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize attendance for athletic events. Responsible for helping with solicitation and renewal of season ticket sales, single-game ticket sales, group sales and premium seating options. Work closely with the Director to achieve sales and attendance goals set forth by the Director of Athletics. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the ticket office, ensuring efficient processing, distribution and management of tickets. Help the Director to report on ticket sales performance, revenue projections and financial outcomes. Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations and best practices related to ticket sales and operations.
Customer Service and Fan Experience
- Work closely with the Director to consistently improve the overall fan experience, including addressing customer inquiries, resolving ticket-related issues and ensuring high levels of satisfaction. Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, sponsorship and game-day operations to coordinate promotional efforts and enhance the overall Stony Brook fan experience. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners and fans to ensure alignment and successful execution of ticketing initiatives.
Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
Special Notes:
This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Non Exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $3,400 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly.
Evening and weekend work will be required at times.
