Under the direction of the Director of Tickets and Fan Engagement, the main responsibility for the Coordinator of Tickets and Fan Engagement is to assist the Director in planning, organizing, and implementing all activity related to ticket office, game day and season ticket sales for football, men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball. The Coordinator of Tickets and Fan Engagement will assist with athletic ticket operations, event marketing/promotions and fan experience. This position will be coordinator for the development and implementation of the strategic direction and creative standards for the unit. Assists the Director with: Coordination of student auxiliary groups in preparation for weekly sporting events and onsite at the actual game (Tiger Team, Dance Team, Half-time supper, etc.) Coordinating marketing strategy that focuses on increasing attendance with a specific emphasis on maximizing ticket sales and fan experience. Conducting data analytics associated with ticketing to maximize revenue, increase fan attendance, generate new philanthropic leads, forecast revenue production and leveraging ticketing data. Running reports and identifying season ticket prospects for Tennessee State Athletics. Revenue generation primarily for football and basketball programs. Maintaining the department’s digital advertising strategy, including but not limited to email campaigns, and social media outlets. Collaborating with programs that promote fan engagement. Providing exceptional customer service to all season ticket holders, individual ticket purchasers and fans of Tennessee State University and visiting institutions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience2-3 years’ experience in ticketing, fan engagement/marketing in sports or entertainment Excellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to work extended days and hours.Ability to multitask and work well under pressure. Organized and extremely detail oriented.Strong understanding of social media and digital platformsProficient in Office 365Self-starter who takes initiative and is a quick learner.Flexible and able to change plans on the fly.Highly motivated with the ability to work without close supervision.
