Who We Are
Simon Fraser University is a leading research university, advancing an inclusive and sustainable future. We are committed to fostering excellence, innovation, belonging and community in all that we do.
We're the only Canadian member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA)—the largest collegiate sports organization in the world. Our student athletes represent SFU while competing nationally and internationally in 16 varsity sports within two member conferences - the Great Northwest Athletics Conference (GNAC) and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC).
About the Role
The Coordinator, Varsity Sport Reporting, manages the delivery of the varsity sports statistical programming, and supports the development of game-based operational needs of SFU’s athletics programs by meeting athletic association and conference(s) reporting needs, and game delivery requirements including the development, collection, upkeep and maintenance of varsity sport statistical records for SFU student-athletes, coaches and varsity teams. The coordinator supports the varsity athletics strategy by enacting plans for the program, award nominations and event delivery for the game seasons, including operational requirements and event needs as determined internally and/or by the athletic association(s) (e.g., NCAA GNAC, RMAC, College Sports Communicators). This position serves as SFU’s primary point of contact for external conferences and associations and contributes to the voting and nomination processes required by association/conference members and committees. The coordinator is responsible for the recruiting, training, hiring, supervising and assessment of statistics staff.
