Who we are
The Office of the Commandant (OOC) serves and supports departments within the Corps of Cadets that are critically engaged in all aspects of student development and the delivery of key services and support. OOC departments work to create environments that help students develop, learn, and enhance their experience at Texas A&M by providing leadership opportunities, experiential education, and connections beyond the classroom. This position will be part of a centralized team that supports the Corps Operations department.
What we want
The Assistant Director is responsible for providing expertise, presence, and oversight at the Major Unit and Corps levels to include overseeing Corps/Unit/Cadet activities and supervising/executing projects.

_ Salary: _ $58,000 to $65,000; commiserate based on experience.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Six years of progressively responsible administrative and/or management experience, including four years of military service and some Corps of Cadets/ROTC/Service Academy or related experience
Required Licenses and Certifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Possess excellent communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree
Four years of Corps of Cadets/ROTC/Service Academy experience
Outstanding computer skills (MS 365, Web Pages, Data Bases)
Previous military service, enlisted E-6 or above; officer O-3 or above
Responsibilities
Supervisory
Asist the Corps Operations Director with oversight of march-ins, parades, and reviews
Monitor cadet adherence to University/Corps rules, regulations, and policies
Supervise the Corps Operations student employees
Represent the Corps Operations Director at meetings and events, as required
Program/Project Management
Serve as the curriculum coordinator for the SOMS 280 program
Coordinate with other university organizations concerning Corps of Cadet matters, to include the Athletic Department, University Police, Rudder Event Services, Technology Services, Student Activities, Student Life, and Transportation Services
Management & Training
Provide and oversee proper daily administration
Manage coordination and scheduling of university recreational facility use and Corps training facilities use and maintenance
Monitor and provide oversight of the Corps remedial physical training program and the Corps military appearance program
Provide and oversee Cadet staff training
