POSITION SUMMARY
The Mental Health Counselor for Athletics has the primary responsibility to provide direct mental health counseling services (diagnostic, assessment, crisis intervention and brief psychotherapy) to all Le Moyne College student-athletes. Will coordinate and provide outreach and prevention programming to student-athletes, staff, coaches and administrators in the Athletic Department and Le Moyne student body as assigned by the Director of the Wellness Center with focus on managing mental health conditions and related issues typically experienced by student-athletes engaged in competitive intercollegiate sports at the NCAA Division I level. This position will serve as the intermediary between the Wellness Center and Athletics Department to facilitate the goal of making mental health and wellbeing services accessible for all student athletes.
