UNCG
is a
NCAA
Division I university and a member of The Southern Conference (SoCon). The Creative Content Manager (
CCM
) will be responsible for contributing to the creative video content strategy and producing/distributing digital content and creative video that supports all sports, as well as other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications. All content created will be for use on social media, for marketing and branding utilization and, ticket sales and attendance, as well as assist the Broadcast Manager with some aspects of video production for
UNCG
Athletics.
The
CCM
primary responsibility is to market and promote the Department of Athletics and its teams through video. The
CCM
will report directly to the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications. The
CCM
will serve as the creative vision for developing video content for social media and www.uncgspartans.com, including shooting, editing and producing features, recaps, etc.
The
CCM
must be able to work numerous projects at one time and work on tight deadlines to get video on the website and social media in a timely manner. Additionally, the
CCM
will work closely with the marketing department and other athletic support staff to develop content for in-arena video boards. The
CCM
will also assist Spartan Club in producing videos that will assist in revenue generation and branding. The
CCM
will also be charged with working with and developing interns, making contacts with various departments on campus and recruiting new students into the program each program.
The
CCM
will assist in providing insight to push the department forward with emerging trends in social, digital media, as well as in-venue entertainment; ensuring consistency in brand guidelines and messaging related to content and posting; goals include creating relevant and compelling content for various social media platforms that engages fans and encourages follower growth.

Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Undergraduate degree.
Two years of experience in athletic video and content production. Preference will be given to candidates with professional or collegiate sports experience. Understanding of
NCAA
rules is desired. Demonstrated expertise in written and oral communication skills is a prerequisite. The
CCM
must be goal and tasks oriented and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. The
CCM
must be creative and self-motivated to accomplish tasks. Experience in working with editing programs (i.e. Adobe Premiere Pro or similar program) is a requirement. Experience working on the live production side of athletic broadcasts is preferred(Xpression graphics, Ross Switchers, 3-Play, etc.). Experience directing and producing live broadcasts in preferred. Technical knowledge of video equipment is preferred. The job will include extensive evening, weekend and holiday assignments. Master’s degree is preferred.
