The position will collaborate with the department to coordinate strategy, production, and execution ofVirginia Football content.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and execute social mediaand brand campaignsfor Virginia Athletics with primary focus on the management of main football social channels (@UVAFootball).
Be a valuable resource forcreativesolutions and communications. in developing and executing social and digital strategy.
Create visual content (photo, video, anddesign) for digital platforms including social media accounts forVirginia Athletics with primary focus on UVA Football.
Assist with equipment management. Assist with organization of student assistant program.
Lead footballcreativerecruiting content with support from Directors of Creative Media and Strategy.
Collaborates with Football Video.
Coordinate VA Showcaseannually.
Set up, design, and execute photoshoots for prospective student-athletes (PSAs) for official and unofficial visits.
Edit pictures from the photoshoot and upload them to a cloud-based database for PSA to have access to the pictures.
Serve as the primary editor for thecreative content for the football program.
Attend all recruiting meetings, staff meetings, and contentcreativemeetings with Athletic Departmentwith the primary focus on football.
Other duties assigned by theHead Coach and/or UVA Athletics Creative group.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Experience increativesoftware (Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
Experience in operation of video cameras, photography, audio recording, and an understanding of college athletics.
Proven ability to build relationships, collaborate, and work effectively with diverse constituents.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to work non-standard hours and travel.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment serving numerous constituents.
Experience developing a creative identity and robust social presence.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree
Three years of relevant experience in video production,creativedesign, communications, technology and/or a related field.
Preferred Requirements
4-5 years of relevant experience in video production, creative design, communications, technology and/or a related field.
Prior experience working with collegiate and/or professional football programs in a similarcreativerole.
Prior experience in video directing, filming, and editing.
Prior experience in graphicdesignandcreativecontent production.
Experience with basic audio techniques used in on-camera interviews and in voiceover situations for post-production projects.
Passion and understanding of current trends.
Experience leading a team of creatives, establishing a vision and proper project management philosophy.

Physical Demands
This is a job that requires some physical activity including walking, lifting, and carrying heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds), bending over, stooping, and climbing ladders or stairs to capture different photographic angles, and working in a variety of extreme weather conditions.Extensive use of desktop computers and some sedentary work required. Some travel may be required.
