The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Creative Video Manager for the Athletics Marketing and Communication Department.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Leads Brand Advancement video team.
Manages four videographers, reviewing all edits for technical accuracy and meeting with them regularly.
Sets strategy, ensuring brand consistency across all multimedia content.
Keeps up with industry trends and brainstorms innovative ideas.
Assists video team with workload, helping with shoots and edits for men’s and women’s basketball, as well as 21 Olympic sports programs.
Makes sure all video is logged and properly archived.
Manage video requests from other departments such as R Fund and Scarlet Knights for Life.
Produces, directs, shoots, and edits Knightlife long-form interviews between host Bruce Beck and coaches/student-athletes to be distributed on social media.
Coordinates filming and editing with B-roll in strict accordance with production deadlines.
Performs technical set-up of production environment, including cinema camera operation and lighting.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcasting, communications or related field or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience working in an NCAA Division I Athletic Department or equivalent of professional level.

- Excellent communication skills and computer literacy.
- Experience in sports production, equipment setup, and troubleshooting.
- Solid grasp of all things technical.
- Experience with cinema-style cameras and lenses.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet assigned deadlines.
- Ability to operate under tight windows.
- Ability to digest and prioritize tasks in order of importance to deliver results, while staying up-to-date on the latest video trends and industry changes.
- Ability to conceptualize, design and create video materials with an understanding of specific audiences.
