Manchester University seeks a dedicated and knowledgeable Cross Country & Track & Field Assistant Coach (Throws) to join our Athletics team. Reporting to the Director of Cross Country and Track & Field, this position is responsible for supporting all aspects of the program, with a primary focus on the throwing events. The successful candidate will bring energy, integrity, and a passion for developing student-athletes both on and off the field.
What You'll Do:
Instruct and mentor student-athletes in Cross Country and Track & Field techniques, with an emphasis on throws.
Design and implement individualized training and workout plans.
Teach physical health, safety, and team concepts.
Lead academic support initiatives for student-athletes.
Coach practices and competitions, ensuring compliance with NCAA, HCAC, and university regulations.

Maintain appropriate records, office hours, and communication with the athletic department.
Represent Manchester University Athletics with professionalism and positivity.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Previous coaching experience in throws required.
Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
Valid driver’s license required.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
