Apply NowThe Deputy Athletic Director is responsible for providing high-level administrative leadership to the entire UTPB Athletics Department. This position must be highly communicative, driven by excellence, and possess a robust set of leadership characteristics. This individual must work in a team environment and exhibit a high level of organizational capacity, personnel development, integrity, perseverance, initiative, customer service focus, and solution-mindedness.This position will serve as a vital part of the department’s senior leadership team with a primary focus on several of the department’s most essential internal operations. This individual will be a critical thought partner and decision maker within the overall department. Additionally, the Deputy AD will oversee the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics in the absence of the Director.
The Deputy AD works a Monday-Friday schedule, plus frequent and irregular hours associated with events.
The person in this role will be expected to represent UTPB professionally in a way that aligns with the University Texas Permian Basin’s overall strategy & culture.

Schedule
Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.
