Job Description:

The Developmental Softball Coach program is designed to provide aspiring coaches with comprehensive, hands-on experience in a Division I softball environment. Participants will support the Ole Miss Softball coaching staff in all phases of the program, including game planning, practice preparation, data analysis, and recruiting, while engaging in a structured professional development curriculum.

Job Responsibilities:

·       Assist with preparation of video cut-ups, scouting reports, charts, and playbook materials for coaches.

·       Assist with opponent advance scouting to identify tendencies, pitch patterns, formations, and areas of weakness.

·       Complete self-scouting and internal film review to identify trends, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

·       Prepare data reports, graphs, charts, and statistical profiles to support coaching strategy and decision-making.

·       Assist with practice planning and game-day operations, including charting, organization, communication, and logistics support.

·       Support recruiting efforts through talent evaluation, recruiting research, and prospect tracking.

·       Assist with other softball operations and program support tasks as assigned by the coaching staff.

Substitution Statemen t: An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.
