Job Description :
USC Athletics is looking to hire a Digital Media Producer join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals. This role is responsible for creating content to be distributed across multiple channels and social platforms for all 21 USC Athletics sports. Additional requirements include possession of strong interview skills and an ability to produce highlight packages & create unique content in the form of features and promotional material. Flexibility, creativity, and ability to work well with others required. This position will also be expected to help oversee and develop student workers.
Additional requirements include operating complex video and audio equipment; capturing video, audio and images of programs and events; transporting equipment to various sites for purpose of media production; using hardware and software to prepare, edit and store digital content for assigned projects; and assisting in the creation of comprehensive digital content archives.
Reporting directly to the Director of Video Production, the Digital Media Producer will work in collaboration with social media, marketing, and other creative department staff to produce a variety of digital content. The ideal candidate will be a creative self-starter who is fluent in video production from start to finish.
This position serves a diverse student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for historically under-served populations, and is expected to contribute to the program’s diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education.
Demo reel or relevant projects required
Proficient with Adobe Premiere CC, FCP, writing, camera operation, sound recording, lighting, color grading, etc.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe After Effects, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Speed Grade, etc.)
Knowledge of run and gun production
Proven ability to design and deliver video production within a fast-paced, technologically-advanced environment and to deliver quality projects on time
Capacity to manage multiple, in-parallel, fast-paced projects while interacting with different functional teams
Ability to plan projects, work to timelines, and provide regular project status and updates
Knowledge and passion for a variety of different sports
Must be a team player with a great attitude
Experience working in higher education and/or a sports related field ideal.
Hourly Range :
The hourly rate range for this position is $31.25-$38.46.
