DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL OPERATIONS/ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING 

The Gardner-Webb University Director of Football Operations/ On-Campus Recruiting will provide strategic vision and effective leadership to strengthen the administrative operations of the GWU Football program. The Director will report to the Head Football Coach. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Provide strategic vision and effective leadership for the administrative operation of the GWU football program
  • Total control, in conjunction with the head coach, the oversight of all purchases, payment requests, transmittals from the football program budgets, no purchasing of equipment or supplies of any nature will be made without the DFO’s approval. The DFO will be responsible for securing three bids for items/travel over $2,500 and submitting the Purchase over $2,500 Approval Form. In complete control of scheduling, practice and game preparation, all team travel including transportation, meals, hotels as well as all pre-season meals, etc.
  • Scheduling all on and off campus community services projects and liaison with the University Engagement Team 
  • Supervisor of all off-field responsibilities of the football graduate interns to include work schedule, job duties, timesheets, etc.
  • Coordinator of all recruiting for football including vehicle reservations, flights, ground transportation, lodging, meals, scheduling on-campus visits with various departments, etc.
  • Overall office management and the well-being of the student-athletes
  • Coordinator of the ARMS Programs for all the football coaching staff
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations that relate to recruiting, eligibility, and the operation of the football program
  • Handle all day-to-day operations of the football program and work with other administrative offices on campus
