| Position Summary |
The Director, Athletic Facilities and Operations is directly responsible for management and operation of all athletic facilities and day-to-day event operations of the Department of Athletics and Recreation. The Director coordinates and supervises all staff involved in day-to-day operations and management and administration of facilities and others as assigned.

| Essential Duties |
- Manage the scheduling and auxiliary operations for all Athletic Department facilities, including the IBC. Establish policies and procedures, oversee daily maintenance, supervise personnel, and perform cost analysis.
- Will serve as the liaison to the University’s Recreation & Wellness department.
- Maximize facility usage and program enhancement.
- Provide guidance to Department staff in interpreting policies and procedures. Coordinate all scheduling operations, administration for all Department events, including practices and games.
- Manage operations of all athletic contests conducted at the University.
- Oversee event logistics and part-time or Work Study facility staff.
- Generate revenue through facility rentals. Conduct preliminary negotiations on contracts with external parties regarding use of all varsity athletic fields to obtain acceptable terms for both parties involved. Analyze event market trends and sports facility utilization.
- Hire, train, supervise and evaluate direct reports.
- Seek opportunities for staff professional development.
- Coordinates and reviews the work of others.
- Trains and mentors new staff members.
- Responsible for staff performance management and compensation recommendations or decisions.
- Responsible for interviewing and hiring/employment recommendations or decisions.
- Good communication skills, ability to multi-task, and excellent organization all a must.
- Be able to successfully perform the physical demands of this job.

| Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in events and facility management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to NCAA and member conference rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated self-direction and motivation with the ability to work independently and work under pressure.
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification must be maintained.
- Valid driver’s license and successful clearance of motor vehicle record check.
- Successful background check clearances including, but not limited to, a PA Criminal Records Check, FBI Fingerprinting Check and PA Child Abuse Clearance Check.
- Understanding of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.

- Master’s degree.
- Previous experience in a college or university setting.

| Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours |
- Performs job both indoors and outdoors.
- Required to work evening and/or weekends as necessary to manage events or oversee facilities during peak periods.
- Work in stationary position for periods of time in all weather conditions.
- Physical activity required.
- Must be able to move heavy equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
