| Job Summary |
We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Director, Athletics Communications.
The purpose of this position is to assist the Sr. Associate AD – External Relations and Revenue by providing & overseeing sports information services for select sports while providing support for the athletics external team. This position will serve as the primary contact for Women’s Volleyball and Men’s Basketball and will support Football, Women’s Basketball, and other sports as assigned. | Conditions of Employment |
- This position is required to work evenings, weekends and overtime to report to conference, local and national media sources and supply required information for assigned sports.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Limited team travel (only post-season and when necessary).
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.

| Required Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field.
- One year of full-time experience or equivalent providing collegiate or related athletic/sports information to internal and external constituents.
- Candidate must possess strong writing, editing, and communication skills; and excellent PC-based computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Candidate must be able to keep and maintain sports statistics and have experience operating game computer statistics software programs, such as NCAA Genius Live Stats.
- Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency, universal accessibility and/or diversity.

- Knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, HTML, and SideArm Sports web content management system software.
- Experience with sports information departments at the NCAA Division I level.
- Candidate must be able to work evenings and weekends to support assigned sports programs and special events.
