The Opportunity :

UCF is seeking a Director, Athletics Compliance to support and strengthen the university’s commitment to integrity and excellence in intercollegiate athletics. Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, this role serves as a key leader within the Athletics Compliance Office, helping to oversee day-to-day compliance operations and ensuring adherence to NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.

The Director partners closely with coaches, athletics staff, student-athletes, and campus stakeholders to provide clear guidance, education, and support on complex compliance matters. This position plays a critical role in fostering accountability and collaboration while helping programs operate successfully within a highly regulated environment.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a compliance professional who can both manage people and programs while staying engaged in the day-to-day work. The Director will help supervise and develop team members, support ongoing compliance initiatives, and contribute to the continued evolution of UCF’s compliance operations. Candidates who bring strong NCAA Division I experience, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and excel at building relationships across various stakeholder groups will find this role especially rewarding.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain compliance with NCAA, conference, university, and athletics association rules across assigned sports programs.

  • Provide rules interpretation, guidance, and day-to-day compliance support to coaches, staff, student-athletes, and campus partners.

  • Administer compliance activities across key areas including recruiting, eligibility, amateurism, financial aid, awards and benefits, and playing/practice seasons.

  • Monitor compliance processes and ensure adherence to applicable regulations.

  • Identify, investigate, and document potential violations and support reporting and resolution efforts.

  • Assist with NCAA waivers and student-athlete reinstatement case preparation and submission.

  • Develop and deliver rules education programming and communicate legislative updates to key stakeholders.
