CRM
Strategy for the North Carolina State University Athletic Department which competes as a
NCAA
Division 1 team competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Director of Digital and
CRM
Strategy will lead integrated planning across all paid digital channels for NC State Athletics focused on driving revenue, leads and business objectives. In conjunction with advertising partners, this role is responsible for developing and implementing cross-channel campaigns across owned and paid channels, as well as managing all paid digital creative and the paid digital advertising budgets. Additionally, this role will assist in managing the department’s
CRM
platform and email initiatives to ensure integrated strategies are maximized. This position will report to the Assistant Athletic Director of Revenue Generation.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead the integrated planning across all paid digital channels, building campaigns that drive revenue, leads and business results
Oversee all paid performance advertising efforts (search, programmatic, paid social, email, etc.), designing and implementing paid digital media strategies with an emphasis on driving online ticket sales and revenue (maximizing impression shares and
ROAS
, while maintaining optimal financial efficiencies)
Develop the strategic plan and oversee the management of the athletic department website (gopack.com.)
Lead the consumer paid segmentation strategy, defining target audiences, messaging strategy and developing plans that reach and resonate with core audiences
Generate lead prospecting, scoring, cleansing, and assignment via sales/service campaigns in conjunction with external units, create and maintain necessary data for customer service communication plans
Coordinate with External Relations department leaders to:
Implementing lead-generation campaigns and disseminating leads quickly to sales associates for follow-through
Coordinate and distribute sales, marketing, and donor emails on behalf the department
Ticket initiatives including ticket on-sales, special offers, targeted segmentation, etc.
Build out an annual calendar of suggested and actual paid media spending based on schedules
Identify and implement new revenue generating opportunities
Develop and improve use of the
CRM
platform by all unit members, including staff training, feature development, and reporting
Analyze customer database for the purpose of building external plans for sports
Collaborate with third party agencies and other departments in development of paid advertising creative, including videos, motion graphics, photography, etc.
Manage and produce detailed post recap reports on all campaigns to improve and inform future strategies
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies, best practices and new opportunities in the digital advertising space
Collaborate with social media team members to leverage moments and key stories across digital advertising
Other duties as assigned by Senior Associate Athletic Director.
Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s Degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment.
- At least five (5) years of experience in collegiate athletics and/or professional sports sales and marketing departments.

- Prior supervisory experience
- Computer proficient (Microsoft and Google products)
- Position requires non-traditional work hours; including nights, weekends and holidays

- Experience utilizing Paciolan ticketing system and SalesForce CRM platform and Eloqua marketing software
- Prior experience working with digital media
