Salary/Grade: EXS/31

Target hiring range for this position will be between $75,000-$110,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Job Summary:

Reporting directly to the Head Football Coach and Director of Football Operations, the Director of Player Development is responsible for preparing Northwestern Football student-athletes for life after sport. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, professional development and life-skills curriculum, employer relations and internship coordination, and all former player relations and programming.

*Willingness and ability to travel as well as work evenings, weekends and holidays.*

Responsible for adhering to all Department and University policies and procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.

Specific Responsibilities :

· Organize and coordinate employer relations, internships, and summer jobs for football student-athletes; coordinate football-specific professional development events in collaboration with NU for Life department.

· Foster and maintain all former player relationships, including planning events, (reunions and letter-winners), graduation reception, and developing programming to connect current and former student-athletes (Alumni Mentoring Program).
