Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Director, Football Operations. - Boca Raton, FL.
The Director for Football Operations is a professional staff member in the football office with primary responsibility for game day operations for the team and team travel. Will oversee the day to day activities of the football office as well as manage full time and part time FAU Football operations staff. Will also assist with recruiting and operations functions in conjunction with the recruiting coordinator.
Individual will work with the Director of Purchasing and the University's Travel Office to secure all charter planes and charter buses for football team travel. Assist the head football coach with establishing travel policies for the football team that adheres to State of Florida, Florida Atlantic University and NCAA policies and procedures.
Coordinates team meals, meetings and lodging for all home and away football events with hotel management. Included in these correspondences is negotiating with hotel management for the most economical options available to accommodate the team.
This individual will also act as the contact for all professional scouts expressing an interest in FAU football players. This includes ensuring that all scouts are registered with the Athletics Compliance office and are aware of NCAA rules and regulations dealing with player contacts.

Manages and oversees Football Department support staff; including the areas of Player Development, Strength & Conditioning, Recruiting, Video & Design, and Sports Nutrition.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience required; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience required.
