| Job Summary/Basic Function |
Weber State University (WSU) is a NCAA Division I (Football Championship Subdivision) institution and is a member of the Big Sky Conference. The program currently provides competition in seven men’s and nine women’s sports. The institution has an enrollment of over 26,000 students and provides over 250 undergraduate degree programs. The Director of Football Operations position is a full-time, twelve-month commitment, which reports to the Head Football Coach. The Director of Football Operations will be responsible for directing non-coaching matters related to the football program. This position is the lead contact point for the following operations: athletic administration, media relations, facilities management, equipment room and weight room, medical and training staff. The position is key in coordinating quality relationships with student-athletes, coaches, parents, donors, university faculty, and alumni. This position will be directly responsible for managing the 1.1 million-dollar budget by assisting in developing the annual budget, track monthly budget detail, oversee all expenditures and ensure that the program operates within it’s allotted budget. This position will also report to the Director of Financial Operations Manager and the Director of Athletics any budget discrepancies. This is a non-coaching position. All coaching or non-coaching football staff members are required to abide by the rules and regulations established by WSU, the Big Sky Conference, and the NCAA. In accordance with the principles of the NCAA rules compliance, it is understood that any employee who is found in violation of NCAA regulations shall be subject to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA’s enforcement procedures, including suspension without pay or termination of employment for significant or repetitive violations.
