The Director, Live Events and Video Services at Army West Point will be primarily responsible for the planning and execution of all Army West Point Athletic Association Inc. (“AWPAA”) live events. This role involves making strategic decisions regarding staffing requirements for each event and ensuring that all personnel are compensated accordingly. The Director will oversee the creation and integration of all graphic elements used during live events and serve as the main point of contact between the Patriot League, ESPN+, and other affiliated conferences. In addition to event management, the Director will be accountable for the maintenance and operational functionality of all live event equipment, including troubleshooting and coordinating repairs as needed. The role also includes mentoring and managing the Assistant Director, Live Events and Video Services, providing guidance on their daily responsibilities to ensure seamless execution of live events.

The level of decision making is high. This job will work with its supervisor, along with leading the Assistant Director, Live Events & Video Services to create the best live event production and creative video possible. This position will make decisions on contractor hiring, as well as overall production direction of live events, number of events, etc. In addition, this position will have creative input on social media, including the management of the Army West Point Athletics YouTube Page.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will oversee the Assistant Director, Live Events and Video Services and have oversight of all contractors hired to work live events.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
Perform duties in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
Travel
Minimal travel may be expected in this position, depending on sport season. If needed, travel would include marquee events such as the Army-Navy Star Series, highly ranked opponents and/or post season events. This person will setup and run a broadcast at Subaru Park every other year for the Army-Navy Men’s Soccer match in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This position will run the Army Football postgame press conference at the Army-Navy football game.

Pay Range
$60,000 - $62,000
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries that AWPAA believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted position. AWPAA expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would AWPAA consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
