Summary
This position is part of the team responsible for all entertainment aspects of event planning and show production for Army West Point Athletics Association Inc. (“AWPAA”) home games and events held at the United States Military Academy at West Point (“USMA”). The primary focus will be to create life-long memories for all fans who attend. Reporting to the Assistant Athletic Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement, this position will assist in every aspect of AWPAA home games and events and the development and execution of strategic plans enhancing brand awareness, ticket sales, fan/game experience and other revenue generating initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a visionary, imaginative, and forward-thinking mindset while being eager to learn. This position will be the primary marketing contact for Men’s Lacrosse and Women’s Basketball and will serve as the secondary contact for Football.
Scope of Impact
The Director’s scope of impact will be high due to this position being externally facing towards USMA, the U.S. Army Garrison West Point, the United States Army, and its fans and constituents. This position will interface and collaborate with several Academy departments to promote Army West Point Athletics and to further fan engagement. These areas include but are not limited to:

The level of decision making for this position is moderate. This position will be given autonomy overall marketing and fan engagement initiatives including but not limited to marketing plans, run of shows, scripts, videoboard elements for assigned sports, and ensuring brand standards are maintained and initiatives contribute to the overall strategic plan set forth by the Assistant Athletic Director, Marketing and Fan Engagement. This position will collaborate with other members of the external unit to determine best practices and procedures as it relates to Men's Lacrosse, Women’s Basketball, marketing internship, and marketing assets. This position will be able to directly interface with head coaches, sports administrators, and other external team members to determine best practices and procedures for assigned sports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
30% Primary Marketing for Men’s Lacrosse and Women’s Basketball
20% Secondary Marketing for Football and Other Assigned Sports

20% Primary Athletics Marketing Liaison to the United States Corps of Cadets
10% Secondary Marketing Contact for the Marketing Internship Program
10% Oversees Marketing Assets & Inventory
10% Other Duties as Assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Level of supervision is moderate. This position will have a direct report, Assistant Director, Marketing & Fan Engagement.
Work Conditions & Physical Requirements
Perform duties in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
Travel
5-10% - Travel will be based on the nature of the team’s schedule (i.e., championship tournament, service academy games, etc.) and on the need for assistance for home events.

Pay Range
$50,000 - $55,000
This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries that AWPAA believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted position. AWPAA expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would AWPAA consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
