Tenure Track Associate/Assistant Professor to direct university pep bands and teach undergraduate courses in instrumental music education. Other courses will include instrumental conducting, methods courses, instrumental literature, and supervision of student teachers. The position will focus on a partnership with Lipscomb athletics to build a pep band that will share a common vision with both the School of Music and athletics. The responsibilities within the School of Music will expand on an already thriving curriculum and student body within performance and music education.

The school has a long history of preparing professional music educators, scholars, composers, and performers. The School of Music offers BM, BA, and BS degrees in performance, music education, commercial music (singer/songwriter and production tracks), worship arts, and music industry studies. Masters degree required. Terminal degree preferred. (Ph.D., DMA or DME). Experience in primary and/or secondary education required as well as experience with athletic bands at the university level. Lipscomb University is a private, Christian university associated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ and governed by religious tenets held by the Church of Christ. Salary ranges from $65,000-$75,000 depending on candidates qualifications and rank.
