Job Description:
Western Kentucky University, a member of Conference USA and a Football Bowl Subdivision NCAA member institution, seeks to hire an individual for the position of Director of Compliance. This is a 12-month, full-time position. This position will report directly to the Senior Associate Athletics Director of Compliance and Student Affairs. Applicants must have a commitment to and responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of WKU, Conference USA and the NCAA.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.
Monitor academic, amateurism, eligibility and financial aid rules of the NCAA, Conference USA, and Western Kentucky University.
Serve as the primary liaison for the Athletic Compliance Office with one or more of the following campus departments: Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar's Office.
Serve as a primary Athletics Compliance Office contact/liaison for specific sports (determined by the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Compliance) related to all areas of NCAA rules and regulations.
Interpret and provide education to students, coaches, athletic staff and representatives of athletics interest on NCAA rules, policies and regulations.
Oversee, audit, and review compliance forms, policies, and procedures.
Monitor new NCAA legislation.
Report information required by the NCAA and Conference USA.
Participate with amateurism/agents oversight.
Participate in the preparation of NCAA squad lists, national letters of intent and financial aid agreements.
Oversight and training of office student workers/GAs/interns and support staff.
Special projects as assigned by the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance.
