Position Summary

Communicating with head coach to update them on team performance, schedule changes, and other relevant informationCoordinating travel logistics for the team including booking flights, hotels, buses, and rental carsReviewing game film and scouting opponents to help prepare the team for upcoming gamesMaintaining records of game statistics, player performance, and team standingsEnsuring all team equipment is in good working condition and available for useCoordinating with the athletic department to promote events and activitiesCoordinating with student managers to help schedule practices and arrange travel arrangements for away gamesProviding support to the team’s coaching staff by managing team schedules, tracking player performance during practice sessions, and arranging travel arrangements for away gamesCoordinating with marketing staff to plan advertising campaigns and promotions for the school’s athletic programs

Required Qualifications

Conducting practice sessions and drills to improve individual skills Planning and organizing practices and games, including arranging facilities, equipment, and other resources needed for the team’s activities Recruiting new players to add to the team roster or replacing players who have left the team Communicating with the coach to relay important information about game schedules, player injuries, and other issues that need to be addressed Providing on-court instruction and feedback during practices and games to help individual players improve their skills Motivating players and encouraging them to practice hard in order to improve their performance on the court Maintaining statistics during games in order to provide feedback on each player’s performance Preparing game plans and strategies for upcoming contests using advanced computer software programs Conducting team meetings to discuss strategy, upcoming opponents, and other topics relevant to the team’s performance
