After 7 years of service in an eligible position an employee’s eligible children may be awarded up to half of Colgate’s tuition to attend an accredited college, university or trade school of their choice.

Hockey, invites applicants for the Director of Compliance position within its Athletics Department. This position reports to the Associate Athletics Director, Compliance and Student-Athlete Services and is expected to adhere to all
NCAA
, Patriot League,
ECAC
Hockey and Colgate University rules and regulations. The successful candidate shall further the athletics department’s vision of being an inclusive community of competitive excellence.
Responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
Primary oversight over daily compliance monitoring, including, but not limited to: recruiting activities, practice logs, playing seasons, award and benefits, employment registration and complimentary admissions;
Coordination of camps and clinics program, as it relates to both
NCAA
compliance regulations and institutional policy;
Oversight of the institution’s drug testing program in coordination with the Senior Associate AD, Health & Performance and Deputy AD/
SWA
;
Creating, implementing, and executing educational initiatives and programs for internal and external constituents, including but not limited to: student-athlete compliance meetings, new staff compliance orientation, booster/alumni outreach;
Monitoring, communicating information, and navigating issues related to the
NCAA
Eligibility Center and incoming eligibility and amateurism certification;
Assisting the Assistant AD, Compliance as needed in preparing institutional, conference and
NCAA
reports, internal interpretive request, as well as waiver and violation submissions;
Maintaining positive relationships with departmental coaches and staff, as well as campus partners to assist in maintaining a positive culture of compliance; and
Other duties as assigned.
Responsible for role modeling positive behaviors and leadership for student-athletes.

Based on the level of experience of the successful candidate and specific needs of the department, the scope of compliance duties within this position may continue to be flexible and evolve.
This position has been designated as a Campus Security Authority (
CSA
), in accordance with the federal statutory requirements of the Jeanne Clery Act. CSAs are required to and responsible for reporting allegations of crimes they receive from students and employees to the Campus Safety Department.

Requirements
| Professional Experience/ Qualifications |
- 1-2 years of previous NCAA compliance experience (e.g. employment, internship, graduate assistant, etc.);
- Organizational skills with the ability to independently handle multiple tasks;
- Strong interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills;
- Experience working with NCAA applications such as LSDBi, RSRO, and the Eligibility Center;
- Position may require availability on limited nights and weekends for athletic events and meetings.

- 2-3 years of previous NCAA compliance experience at a Division I institution;
- Experience working with Teamworks suite, including The Hub, ARMS, and Influencer products.

A Bachelor’s degree is required.

A current valid driver’s license, in accordance with the University’s Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Policy is required.

The Department of Campus Safety will provide upon request a copy of Colgate’s Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. This report includes statistics as reported to the United States Department of Education for the previous three years concerning reported: 1. crimes that occurred on-campus; in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Colgate University; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus and 2. fires that occurred in student housing facilities.
