Director of Compliance/ Assistant AD for Compliance Position Summary:

This position will coordinate rules education efforts for Football student-athletes, coaches and athletic department staff members. The position will also assist with all day-to-day matters pertaining to monitoring NCAA, CSC, Big 12 and institutional policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:
Provide timely NCAA, CSC, Big 12 Conference, and institutional rules interpretations to Football coaches, staff, and student-athletes.
Support the Assistant Athletic Director of Eligibility with all Football related eligibility matters. Maintaining knowledge and documentation of all initial, continuing, and transfer related eligibility governance related to the sport of Football.
Review and monitor Football awards and benefits, NIL disclosures, promotional activities, and other student-athlete participation matters.
Collaborate with Football operations, recruiting, academic support, sports medicine, financial aid, and other campus partners to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Assist in identifying, investigating, documenting, and resolving potential NCAA, Big 12 Conference, CSC, and institutional violations involving the Football program.
Manages rules education and serves as lead for creating and producing all rules educational material efforts delivered to student-athletes, coaches, staff and third-parties.
Manages, approves and maintains documentation related to playing and practice season limitations for Football including CARA logs and season schedule approval through institutional process.
Coordinate/assist the Assistant Director of Compliance with student athlete awards process for Football and other sports as assigned
Assist with onboarding Football student-athletes on all applicable software systems (Opendorse, NILGo, TW. ARMS)
Prepare yearly NCAA and Big 12 Staff Certifications for Kansas Football coaches and staff. Present regular rules education sessions to Football coaches, student-athletes and assigned departmental units to reduce the likelihood of violations.
Assist in the updating, distribution, and review of all University of Kansas, Big 12 Conference, and NCAA required forms for all student-athletes (i.e. NCAA student-athlete statement, NCAA drug testing consent form, KU drug testing consent form, Big 12 Conference drug testing consent form, summer contact form, etc.);
Attend department/outreach functions as a representative of the Compliance staff;
Assist in monitoring activities for Football practices and home and away Football contests;
Act as a secondary liaison for all matters of NCAA, CSC, Big 12 Compliance for the Baseball and Men’s and Women’s Basketball Programs;
Notify Associate AD of Compliance of any possible Big 12 Conference or NCAA Level I and II violations;
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Associate AD of Compliance, or the Athletic Director’s designee.
Work Environment
This job operates in both a professional office environment and outside at athletic-related events, including inclement weather. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and various digital devices, including, but not limited to: cell phone, printer, copy machine, and other related devices. This job requires flexibility and adaptability in schedule and the ability to perform job related duties on short notice.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and far vision and ability to adjust focus. This position may require frequent bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 25 pounds; standing up to eight hours each day; and working in all weather conditions.
Travel
Travel is required for this position.
Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work will vary based on the needs of the football program and as job duties demand. Early morning, evening and weekend work may be required. The Kansas Currently the football program is predominately a mid-morning practice team in-season. Attendance at occasional evening practices will be required.
