The Director of Creative Media Design / Women's Basketball will take part in the creation of unique content and branding for the Virginia Tech Women’s Basketball program. This includes designing and generating recruiting visuals and personalized graphics/videos for specific prospective basketball student athletes. Will work with the Creative Design team within Athletics to implement athletics branding in basketball social and recruiting content. Will work with Women’s Basketball staff to conceptualize and implement a strategic communication plan for prospective basketball student athletes. Will help organize and plan photoshoots for prospective athletes. Will demonstrate appropriate knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to equipment. This position reports directly to the Head Coach / Women’s Basketball.

DESIGN AND CREATION
Collaborate with the Creative Design team to build a cohesive message, brand consistency, and purpose.
Design and create mass recruiting materials to be sent to prospective basketball student athletes.
Design and create personalized recruiting graphics and/or videos to be sent to prospective basketball student athletes.
Consult with basketball coaches on their needs for recruiting content specific to each position and/or individual.
Brainstorm ideas for unique content and continue to create and promote the Hokies Basketball brand.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO
Photograph and/or video basketball practices, games, and other events for social media and recruiting.
Conduct photoshoots when prospective student athletes are on campus for recruiting visits.
Conduct photoshoots for marketing, branding, and special projects with current student athletes.
Including but not limited to game uniform reveals, personal branding shoots, and NIL branding.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Conceptualize and create content for Virginia Tech Basketball social media accounts, including but not limited to "X" and Facebook, etc.
Small video projects (e.g. Reels).
Performs other related duties &/or special projects as assigned or as directed.
The omission of specific duties does not preclude the Chief of Staff &/or Head Coach from assigning other logically related duties.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with significant experience in athletics creative media or a master's degree.
Experience with the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, etc.).
Previous experience working directly in a college recruiting department and managing the day to day creation of creative materials.
Experience organizing and executing photoshoots for prospective student athletes.
Experience in photography/videography.
Knowledge of NCAA compliance relative to recruiting materials.
Commitment to diversity.
