Job Description
The Director of Creative Media / Football will oversee the creation of unique content & branding for the Virginia Tech Football program. This includes designing & generating recruiting visuals, & social content for prospective football student athletes & the Virginia Tech Football program. Working closely with the Senior Director of Football Creative Media, the Director will help conceptualize and execute a strategic communication plan that supports recruiting eGorts and strengthens the program’s digital presence. Will demonstrate appropriate knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations pertaining to equipment. Will supervise & train creative media student interns. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Creative Media /Football.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field with significant experience, or a master's degree.
Experience with Adobe products including Photoshop and Illustrator.
Previous experience working directly in a NCAA Division I recruiting department and managing the day-to-day creative materials.
Experience organizing and executing photo shoots for prospective student athletes.
Supervisory experience overseeing interns, students, and volunteers with creating recruiting graphics, videos, and creative materials.
Functional knowledge of NCAA compliance relative to recruiting materials.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience photographing and/or filming football practices, games, and other events and producing videos through Adobe Premiere Pro and content through Adobe Lightroom.
Experience in a NCAA Division I Power 4 Football program.
