Position Summary Information
| Position Summary |
The Director of Creative & Video Production is responsible for the athletic department’s day to day creative video production efforts. This position reports to the Senior Associate A.D./External Affairs and serves as a member of the external affairs leadership team.
Austin Peay State University is a four-year public, doctoral-level university, with six colleges and four Chairs of Excellence. The University has an enrollment of over 9,000 students and is located in Clarksville, Tennessee, a community of an estimated 166,000 people located approximately 40 miles northwest of Nashville, TN.

| Primary Duties and Responsibilities |
- Oversee the production, coordination, and execution of creative video production for the athletics department. Specifically, creative and video content for digital and social media, LED video-boards, etc.;
- Manage the production, coordination, and execution of live non-game event content for Austin Peay athletics to include press conferences, coaches show, team-specific introduction, hype and cinematic videos, etc.;
- Supervise the troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrade, and repair of hardware assets and systems regarding video production;
- Oversee the inventory control of video equipment and supplies for event production;
- Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling and management of event production; personnel, including freelance, undergraduate and graduate student employees.
- Collaborate with the Director of Digital Media to fulfill corporate sponsor and donor assets when necessary;
- Serve as Liaison to the Ohio Valley Conference regarding execution of ESPN+ production;
- Manage project timelines maintaining on-time and on-budget delivery of finished products;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

| Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Experience with live event production.
- Knowledge of capturing in-game action.
- Familiarity with Daktronics video displays.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work remotely within non-traditional hours (nights and weekends);
- As a staff member of Austin Peay athletics, the selected candidate will be a person of integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference, and institutional rules as they apply to the Austin Peay athletics department.

| Physical Requirements |
- Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

| Required Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and a minimum of two (2) years of appropriate experience.
- Prefer hands-on experience/knowledge directing and producing compelling videos for delivery via in-venue LED videoboards, new media delivery channels, as well as demonstrated experience with professional level photo/video acquisition and production tools (Sony FS7 and Canon 5D video cameras, Sony A9 photo camera, Cannon lenses, Adobe software Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects).
- Due to the nature/scope of the position, the selected candidate must be able to take high-level project direction and plan, execute, and deliver completed projects within time sensitive deadlines;
