Womens Basketball
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Director of Culture and Professional Development for Women’s Basketball. Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, this position will assist in the coordination of the Women’s Basketball Intercollegiate Athletics Program which provides the opportunity for female student-athletes to train and compete in a competitive, Division I women’s basketball environment while attending school to earn a college degree. Additional responsibility includes on/off court coaching duties and professional development of the student-athletes.Among the key duties of this position are the following: Mentors current WBB student-athletes on life as a professional athlete and making the transition to professional basketball (both WNBA and overseas). Includes, but not limited to create learning/shadowing opportunities for student-athletes through WNBA and/or sponsor hosted events. Assists in developing, teaching and instructing the student-athletes in the proper basketball skills & techniques, during practice, competition & conditioning sessions. Additional responsibilities attending fundraising events, alumni events, or assisting with NIL. Additional recruiting responsibilities for phone calls, video meetings and on-campus visits with recruits. Assists with content over all WBB social media sites.

Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22, this position requires a fully on-site work arrangement and may be eligible for a compressed workweek or a flex workday schedule.The flexible work arrangements outlined in Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 are part of a pilot program that is effective September 1, 2022 through August 31, 2024. Therefore, there is no guarantee that this flexible work arrangement will continue beyond that date. Flexible work arrangements are not permanent, are subject to change or cancellation and contingent on the employee receiving approval in the FlexWork@RU Application System. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. 2+ years of WNBA experience.
WNBA Division I playing experience. Computer literate. Knowledge of Big Ten Conferences and NCAA rules and regulations.
Microsoft Office, Outlook, Recruiting Radar (Prospect database), and our recruiting website.
Must be able to work nights and weekends.

Immunization Requirements
