The Univerity of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Director of Development - Athletics. The Development Director is responsible to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors for charitable financial support for intercollegiate athletics at North Georgia through gifts (major, capital and planned), grants and sponsorships. The Athletic Development Director will work primarily to promote North Georgia Athletics to all appropriate audiences for the purpose of attracting direct financial support for the programs. He/she will work as part of the Institutional Advancement team to promote the goals of the university, and in partnership with the Athletics Department to influence programs and projects to maximize private financial support. This work will be primarily conducted away from the office; extensive travel is required. Timely submission of reports is a critical component of this job, and will be evaluated on a periodic basis, as will quality of work and program outcomes. The athletic development officer is required to maintain a current driver's license and be able to drive themselves in the course of their travels. The athletics development director is also required to maintain an active smartphone/PDA with an appropriate service account, and to make that phone number publicly available.
Must be flexible with work schedule and available to work weekends and evenings when necessary.
