SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director of Facilities and Events is responsible for supervising and managing all aspects of athletic facilities, game and event operations, capital projects within the athletics department & serving as a liaison with appropriate campus partners and other areas.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversight of all athletic facilities (supervision and coordination).
Oversight and direction of all game operations functions.
Oversight of all athletics capital projects
Oversight of all facilities and operations related to athletics
Liaison with SSC, Campus Safety, and Operations
Athletics primary liaison to University Police Department
Serve as primary point of contact for external events hosted in athletics facilities.
May require additional work with athletic contests, specifically on nights and weekends.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Four (4) years related experience (intercollegiate athletics, higher education, public or governmental accounting).
Knowledge / Skills: Knowledge ofNCAA, conference and institution rules and regulations and requirements. Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills. Understand spending habits of athletic industry, game contracts and contract negotiations.
Ability to: Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to travel. Ability to work beyond normal office hours and/or on weekends.
