The University of South Dakota is currently seeking applications for a Director of Football Operations to oversee all internal matters pertaining to the day to day operations of the football program.
Responsibilities
: include the oversight of administrative tasks associated the operations of an efficient Division I football program. This position will report directly to the Head Football Coach and will be the primary liaison with various athletic department staff members. The Director will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating pre-season housing and meals, team travel (including creating itineraries, making arrangements for lodging, meals, and transportation and coordinating meeting space), practices (home and away). The Director of Football Operations will be responsible for building and maintaining the football budget for team travel and equipment. The position will also serve as the football staff liaison to the Equipment Room with equipment purchases and disbursements and direct facility set-up needs for game day and practices.
This position will also act as a liaison with Athletic Advising and community outreach programs, coordinating public relations, and planning and monitoring special events and projects, other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of the sport of football and familiar with all aspects of the program. The selected candidate must have knowledge of
NCAA
rules and regulations. Working knowledge of computer systems and various film editing and recruiting software is desired
